I am a new FFL in CA. My brother asked me to sell a new Ruger Mini-Thirty for him on Gunbroker.com. The rifle has been sold to a gentleman who is also in CA. What is the best way to transfer the rifle to the buyer's gun store? The rifle was DROSed to my brother where he bought it, and I sold it on Gunbroker as a favor to him. Any advice would be appreciated.

If you haven't done so already, log the rifle into your A/D book. Get the payment for the rifle including sales tax and S&H. Have the receiving dealer send you a copy of their FFL and CFD number. Box up the rifle and generate a CFLC letter. Include the letter, a copy of the invoice, and a copy of your FFL in the package. The copy of the FFL is not required by law but do it as a courtesy. Ship the package via USPS, UPS, or FedEx ground. Log the rifle out of your A/D book.Jim
