I am going to buy a AR15, I was wondering if I could remove upper receiver after completing DROS.

The lower is the only part that the FFL has to hold onto and they'd probably prefer that the upper is not taking up space in their storage area. I removed the upper from the AR-15 I have sitting in jail. You can remove the upper before submitting the DROS. If you remove it afterwards, then there could be an issue with the 4473 since it would be listed as a long gun, but without the upper it is an other/receiver. There is no issue with the DROS requiring an upper on it.Kemasa.
