    PPT/NLIP question

Was reading there, and that made me wonder; is the handgun then registered to both parties? It is registered to the new owner during the DROS, but, not removed from the original owners registry until they file a NLIP form, correct?

Almost no one files the NLIP.

Since I haven't seen the database schema for AFS, I don't know how the records are entered or modified.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Unless it's changed in the last decade, previous owners of the firearm are listed with the firearm.
I remember being able to look up a handgun and see the current owner's info and there was also a tab that could be accessed that listed all the previous owners of that handgun.

Okay, thanks guys. I was kind of wondering if it would be a problem to have it registered to two or more people, but, obviously, they see the dates when it was transferred, so they know or can assume it is the current owner.

Lets them know to change it from you being the current owner to a past owner.
