I hope those who are thinking about applying or waiting for approval finds this post useful.
I mailed my application on 1/7, payment was processed 1/13, I recieved the license on 2/1.
I called to inquire on the status of my app about one week after the payment was processed. The representative was very polite and informative. I learned from the rep that the address our applications are sent to is monitored by their bank. They process the payment then forward the application to the ATF with a voucher.
