    Adding a long gun

Last week I purchased an AR lower and now this week Im wishing I would have bought 2 . Is it possible to add another lower and receive both on the same day after my 10 day waiting period is up ?

Only your dealer can answer that question. Some do and some don't.
www.tenpercentfirearms.com was open from 2005 until 2018. I now own Westside Arms.

The dealer should ask you when you bought the first one, atleast they did for me. They could put multiple on the same DROS so you don't have to wait another 10 days cause your buying them together. Hope this helps.

While some FFLs do it, it is not legal. There is a requirement of a 10 day waiting period after buying a firearm in CA, which would not be the case if you bought it right before you pick it up. Some try to claim that it is part of the sale which happened 10 days before. The reason some FFLs do it is because they can get away with it and some thing it is legal. If you ask the DOJ, they will say no and if you read ALL of the relevant CA PC sections, the answer would also be no, but you can still ask your FFL.

I recently called the DOJ because I had mistakenly put 1 long gun instead of 2 on the DROS for a customer. It was legitimately two but my brain temporarily stopped working. They said I couldn't add one to the DROS which I had entered just a few minutes prior, and had to start a new DROS.

If you ask again, you might get a different answer unless something has changed there. In the past, I was told to just cross out the number and change it. That is a mistake and different that selling an additional firearm, especially at a later date.

I was told that outside California it is fine but here in California they must state how many you are purchasing when they enter your info into the state computers.

Firearms can be added to the 4473 until it is signed. The CA DROS is where the issue lies and where people claim different things, as well as not looking at all the CA PC :-).
