    KAC SR-25/M110/MK11 in CA

Has any FFL's have experience DROS a KAC SR-25 type lower. I realize the SR-25 is on the banned list. However are there any KAC in 7.62 that you've DROS'd?

Also if a seller has an older model SR-25, and had the laser etching removed that stated "SR-25" would be ok to transfer in CA?

It's my understanding the MK11 and M110's are good to go, but those are going for 20K.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

I would not transfer a lower that had part of the name removed. It is just asking for trouble.

A named lower is not a so-called a-salt weapon unless it is a semi-auto firearm. This means that you could transfer a named lower and the customer is fine unless they build it into a semi-auto firearm. They could legally build it as a single shot, bolt action, pump action, etc. Look at the CA PC, it specifically says "semi-auto".

The general consensus with regards to the KAC 308's seems to be is that if you want them in CA, you need to get the MK11 or M110.

Personally, I wouldn't risk DROS'ing an SR25 with the etching removed.

          Thanks Rattlehead.

That's some of the feedback I received as well from Mike at OC Armory. Mike apparently has DROS'd a KAC 308 before, but only the Mk11.

The problem is finding a MK11 lower or full gun that's not 25K.

What's the consensus on having an out of state 07 remanufacture one of these? Does the SR25 marking need to be removed in addition to the new 07's manufacturer marks, or is all that is needed is the new markings?

Of course you gotta dump the supressor and find a friendly FFL with big name to do the transfer for you.

                      SR-25

Just sent you a PM regarding your SR-25. Which model do you have?

How is it you legally have an SR-25 and can be transferable in Ca?

I noticed your in Arcadia and I do business there.
