Receiving long gun from a private party by mail.

I have a client that wants me to receive a long gun for him that he purchased from a seller in another state. Without the CFLC authorization letter, how would I proceed with that transaction?

Also, since this is not a dealer to dealer transfer and I would be receiving a used firearm for the client, how do I handle the sale in DROS ? As a private party transfer? I thought I needed both parties to be present for that? This is my first of this type and I am confused. Thanks.

    This one is confusing me.

You are correct that no CFLC is required. I usually get the sender to include a legible copy of their ID for my A/D book entry.

It is not a PPT so it goes in as a dealer sale (long gun). Also, BOE says sales tax must be collected.
