    Internet purchase question

    Hi Guys,

I know most questions pertaining to internet purchases have been asked and i have done my research. But I went to budsgunshop.com and went to look at the "preferred dealers" and called up one of them. It is a pawn shop which i usually do not like to do business with pawn shops in general. When i called to verify their fees. i was told that California charges 35.00 dros (i know CA only charges 25 but whatever)Then sales tax on the firearm (i also knew abotu this)

BUT they threw another one in there that i dont understand, Tax on the shipping, which must be paid cash no credit or debit... Are they just trying to pocket the "tax" on shipping? Or is this legit?

Ive just never heard this one thats all

    thanks

    DROS $25
FFL Transfer Fee (Whatever they want to charge)
Tax on Firearm sale price and FFL Fee

    Never heard of Shipping tax

Ive done two PPTs. At ammo bros and a gun store in orange and both charged $35.
Im assuming they make $10 for doing the paperwork.
I ordered on budsguns as well and im having it shipped to a place in la habra/brea. $75 which already includes DROS + taxes on firearm.

PPT's are different than FFL tranfers or dealer sales. The max amount is $35 which includes the DROS.

Tax is collected on the total cost of the firearm sale including shipping, CC fee, and transfer fee. Since Buds is usually free shipping, don't sweat that part.
