    Pws pistol

    Hello,

Was looking at a primary weapon system ar pistol and was wondering if this is legal in california?

I know that it would have to have a bullet button and a 10 round mag..

Thanks in advance for your help

Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong but this should be legal in CA since it will be DROS'd as a pistol but you will need a single-shot exemption since it's not on the roster. Your dealer will need a single-shot sled locked in with the proper equipment. Shouldn't need a bullet button since it's not a rifle. And you should be able to use magazines larger than 10 rounds if you possessed them before the capacity limit/ban.

A pistol with a magazine outside the pistol grip is considered an Assault Weapon - so to be CA legal ALL AR-style pistols require a mag lock and 10 round or less magazine.

They must be DROSed as a single shot.
