I guess the real question is "How are YOU doing?"
The balloon has gone up for the panic nonsense; feel a lot like 1983/1993/1999 in here. People spending money they don't have on things they don't know a whole lot about, just so they can have them.

I have a perfect Burning Man attendance record: zero.

You do know there are more guns in the country than there are in the city.

I am on finals week so I get to relax a little while the students are taking their tests. However, the girls at the shop are swamped! Tonight I have like 20 orders to process and ship.

      Definitely crazy times.

Back in 99' when I was still in the business, we had a meeting to go over what the heck we should do re: the panic buying and raising our prices, and I have to tell you it was difficult. Do we keep our prices the same and just try and maintain a pipeline of product or do we raise prices and try and cool people off. We ended up raising prices on certain things (our last Hk SP89 went for $5500 - unfrigginbelievable) and since we were dealer direct with Bushmaster, we bought complete and stripped lowers like crazy and I mean crazy. We had them hanging in the showroom like sausages in a deli. Crateloads of NOS hi-cap magazines, even crappy USA mags were flying off the shelves. At the very end the DOJ got all wonky on us; we had things in shipment, long guns mostly, that were bought and paid for, DROS'd, etc but not physically on site, before Jan 1, 2000. Originally the DOJ said that if the DROS was started we were cool and could deliver the firearms. Then they changed their minds. None of any of this was on paper of course. *sigh*

I thought this was interesting and fairly typical of how things went back in the previous years... except, it didn't happen overnight like this time around:

EDIT: not going to post the whole thing - so here's a link:

Glad to hear business is booming. At least you guys are making it before the new higher taxes kick in.

I just hope you all can replenish enough to stay in business. I can foresee a lot of dealers struggling in the coming months waiting on inventory.

Best of luck to you all!

I'm building uppers like crazy. Can't keep up with demand. Quote people 4-6 weeks, 6-8 weeks etc. they say ok I'm good with that then email me 2 days later. You done yet? I have to stop answering my phone and check my emails once a day or ill never get things built. I hate dropping the ball on customer service though. Had to pull all my stock on anything related to building uppers so I can keep building as fast as I can without sacrificing attention to detail. Been out of lowers for weeks so that's no concern lol.
