    Glock availability issues...

Any other dealers having problems getting Glocks TODAY.

It seems Ellett Brothers has suspended/delayed/other shipment to California of this series of handguns. This info based on an effort to order online through them.

Not suggesting they are going to be removed for sale, just seeing if anyone else is having an issue with ordering them.

I ordered a bunch on Saturday from RSR. I asked my rep to get me two G34s last night and they were gone this morning. Probably hit and miss.

It seems that there is an issue with Glock 17s that have been made in USA now. The understanding that Glock submitted Austrian manufactured 17s for testing way back when. Those are still approved. Since that time period they started being manufactured here in the USA. Glock should have submitted USA manufactured ones for testing to the roster.
As of now, I understand only Austrian manufactured 17s ones are allowed into Ca now.
      This info coming from Ellett.

          Glocks

I bought 7 Glocks a few weeks ago from RSR. All are marked "Made in USA". I took the Glock Armorers course last week. The 2 guys from Glock were proud of their manufacturing in the US. They said slides and barrels had been made here for a while but they added the frames not too long ago. They just can't keep up with demand. They said they are turning out about 60,000 firearms a month.

That information was passed along as of yesterday. Ellett is suggesting this is their NEW policy as it relates to Glock 17s. No more sold to California in at least that series.
I can not speak for other Glock resources.

Got a 17 and 21 last week from RSR and three on the way from Davidsons today, but the buying frenzy has started. Get it now because next week there will be none.

Glad I got the Colt 6920 when i did. Don't know when I will see another.

Got a similar story from JSC. They wouldn't ship a 31 to CA.

They told me that Glock had told them to stop sending certain models to CA. Something about them being approved when they were produced in Austria, but now that they are being produced in Georgia that the DOJ has an issue with them.

Same here, get em where ever I can find them, RSR, Ellett, Davidsons, etc. Some have some don't. The last ones I got which were 23's, ans a couple of 20's were from RSR.

DOJ had a meeting with the Glock rep and they (DOJ) supposedly weren't too happy that Glocks were now made in the USA.

So there have been some serial number ranges that are supposedly not "approved" for sale until further notice. Hopefully it will be cleared up soon enough, especially since the USA Glocks are identical to Austrian ones in every way other than origin of manufacture.

I talked with Glock at the show about this. The Glock guy I spoke with dealt exclusively to CA.

They got overwhelmed with orders at Glock and sent out a bunch of US made Glocks. It was accidental that they got sent to CA, since we obviously suck and would actually care that they said Made in US on the side. They have spoken with the DOJ and from what he said, its being resolved, and we wont be seeing anymore of the US marked guns. It took some convincing of the DOJ that they were the same.

I just love CA..... Such a pleasure to do business in.
