Roster question: Beretta M9 25th Anniversary

A customer wants to receive a Beretta M9 25th Anniversary pistol from an FFL out of state to me for transfer to him. As far as I can tell, the markings on the pistol are consistent with other Beretta M9's and only the grips are changed to the special 25th anniversary type The slide and frame indicate "U.S. 9mm M9-BERETTA U.S.A.-65490" but the box says M9 25TH ANNIVERSARY LTD ED. Does this comply with the DOJ Roster that says "M9 Commercial / Steel, Alloy"? I assume I just ignore the box and just look at the markings on the gun which seems OK.

My local shop was selling them a few years ago and shipping as well. So i'd speculate and say yes it is okay.

Not that some won't transfer it, but it is not the specific model on the list so it can not be transferred legally in CA. Something as stupid as different grips means it is different and would have to be listed separately.

If the grips were change to the standard grips and the box was not included, the question is how would you actually know that it was a different model?
