I'm helping Doryoku Judo Club, a non-profit organization in Bakersfield, with a fund raiser.
We're hoping to find an FFL willing to either donate, or donate at cost, three firearms for raffle. The FFL would get a letter on letterhead, with the tax ID, showing a donation of the full retail value, less amount paid. We would also name your company as the donation source on all websites, and literature about the raffle.
We can also accept donations from more than one FFL, because three rifles is a lot; if you can only donate one rifle, that's fine; beggars can't be choosers.
Let me know what you are able to do, and we'll work from there.
As I said, beggars can't be choosers, so we will accept any firearm donation, but if we are paying for the firearms, we are thinking about doing a Ruger 10/22, a Remington 870, and a Keltec SU-16, or AR.
A little about the club and the mission:
Doryoku Judo is a NPO; their goal is to provide low-cost alternative activities for under-privileged children. Dues are $400 per year per student, so it is very low cost. The goal of the fund raiser is to raise enough money to either pay off the little bit that's left on the mortgage, or if enough is not raised, to refinance the existing mortgage to drastically lower the payment so that the school can afford to sponsor students, allowing them to train at no cost.
This is a good cause and donations are tax deductible. Let me know what you are willing to do for us, and maybe we can help this club and it's goal.
Thanks in advance.
