Non resident selling guns through FFL to CA

I am a C&R holder in Alabama who is about to sell a large WWII collection of both rifles and pistols. Previously I have refused to sell to anyone in ca due to my ignorance of the laws.

Can anyone help me out? I will have m1 carbines for sale which have 15 round mags as well as German p38's, jap type 14's, and other long arms. These guns are pretty nice and I don't want to stop a collector from getting the opportunity to buy one because I am afraid of the draconian laws that I don't understand in ca.

You can't ship the "high capacity" magazines to CA unless the person has a high capacity magazine permit. You can take the magazines apart and sell them as parts, but some FFLs might not want to deal with that.

Handguns have to go through a dealer, but the long guns can be directly shipped to someone with a C&R FFL.

Since you are not a dealer, you don't need the CFLC letter.
