Has there ever been an instance where seller is selling a stolen or questionable gun but is willing to meet for PPT transfer? I am sureI can pass the dros but I wonder if the seller is selling a stolen gun? I wish the FFL can looked up the serial # immediately to say, "HELL NO" this is a stolen gun the seller needs to be arrested.. How can I protect my self beyond just meeting and doing the FFL thing? Any tips for this Virgin? HELP!

no serial number on most rifles? that would be incorrect. all rifles made by a licensed manufacturer since 1968 must have a serial number (and most manufacturer serialized even before 1968).
