    Question for Class 3/NFA owners/dealers/FFLs

This is NOT a California related question, but rather a national one. Are you allowed to apply for as many NFA tax stamps as you have the money for at any one time?

For example, you want to get an MG and a suppressor, would you have to wait 3-6 months back to back for each one? Are you able to apply for both at the same time?

Reason I ask is that with wait times being what they are, wouldn't it be more efficient to apply for 5-6 stamps at once?

Yes, you can submit multiple Form 1s & Form 4s at the same time.

Most people don't do so, because they can not afford to do it.

You pay for Title 2 firearm.
Title 2 firearm is then held by FFL/SOT.
Title 2 firearm info is used for Form 4.
You submit Form 4 with payment to BATFE.
    You wait for approval.
Once you get approval, FFL/SOT completes the transfer of the Title 2 firearm.

Most people can not afford to buy all the Title 2 firearms they want at once and pay for all the tax stamps/fees.

That's what I was wondering, thank you!

Because once I move out of state, I plan on starting my NFA collection, and I've got at LEAST 30 MGs on that list and if I could only apply for one stamp at a time, I'd be an old man by the time I get all the guns I want!

How will I afford this you ask? A little something called luck and metal detecting

Sooner or later I'll find something worth a very healthy amount of money to the right person! Count on it!

So, you will know how much $$$$$$$ you will need to acquire the MGs you want...
This site does a decent job of showing what the average price of transferable (pre-'86) MGs are currently at.

Considering today's prices, I think I'm better off just building the semi-auto only versions of those guns, it's only a FRACTION of the cost of buying the real deal.

Besides, full-auto guzzles ammo faster than my Ford Mustang GT drinks gas in full throttle

And with ammo prices as high as they are today, I don't think I could actually afford a real MG

But I did the calculations for the number of tax stamps I'd need for the NFA guns I'd want (excluding MGs). 16. 16 x 200 = $3200 just on tax stamps, seems like a lot, yes. But certainly isn't a lot considering I'm going to be building most of the NFA guns using surplus parts.
