    Gun "loans"

    All,

I thought I'd start here, though this question has alot to check legal-wise:

A friend is getting his 1911 refinished. The process is expected to take two weeks (no, not a forum "two weeks"), and he needs a weapon to satisfy his employment. Can I loan him a weapon legally without having to go through a PPT?

I trust him, and have no worries about him going postal or anything else like that.

Is it legal, and will it protect ME if/when things go wrong and he must use deadly force?

    Thank you very much.

as long as he has his HSC you can loan him a firearm for up to 30 days without worry.
