Expired dros question by seller on ppt

About a month ago, obviously, i sold a pistol to a buyer. Well evidently he didnt pickup in 30 days so dros expires. That much i get. He was told by ffl, turners pasadena, that i as the seller need to return for the reDROS. Is that true? I thought the gun was removed from me as soon as my part was done. I would have to reDROS to takeback the pistol so why do i need to be there for the reDROS? Or am i totally confused and have to drive back to pasadena and be subject to another 2 hour ppt.
    Thanks
    Don

Here's a thread about the same thing...

So it looks like CalDOJ has said (over the phone at least) that Turners can just attach the original DROS with your signature to the new DROS. Good luck getting Turners to do this though.

I had a recent PPT where the seller moved to Europe right after. Buyer had an ID issue, suspended license, DMV rejected.

After speaking with the DOJ we just re-DROSed the buyer and attached the original PPT DROS to the new one. The buyer took care of his DMV problem and it went through the second time.
