.... when you use the abbreviation DROS in a conversation, do you say it as a single word, as in "dross", or do you say "dee-ross", or something else? Just curious.

This is how I say and most everyone I know, but I did work with a guy once that always said "dee-ross".
When I say "dross" a noob tilts his head like a confused dog, I then say, "dee-are-oh-ess, it means dealer record of sale".
I use it often as a verb and write things like, "to be DROS'ed"Greg David

I would always say it DROS like gross like everyone else. But after I spoke to someone at DOJ about the FDAS system and they said it was F-DAS, I always joke with my co-worker that DROS should be D-ROSS lolComment
