    Gunsmith and FFL

Ok so I am going through a gun smith course online and starting an apprenticship underneath a Gunsmith for more hands on training. I want to be able to be an at home gunsmith and eventually start my own shop after i am finished with my military career. Do i need an FFL to run a small Gunsmith only shop out of my house?

If you charge money for working on guns, you need an FFL.

" A person conducting such activities as a business is considered to be a gunsmith within the definition of a dealer."

Is it considered gunsmithing if you're designing/manufacturing your own dress up kits for firearms like a Ruger 10/22?
