    Firearms Appraisal Needed for Customer

    Howdy:

We have a customer that has an Ithaca 1911 that we need to have appraised.

It's marked M 1911 A1 US ARMY and has some other markings I'm not sure I'd like to discuss here.

Originally, we were going to send it to the Cody Museum as someone has suggested they did appraisals but in checking them out on the net I see that they don't / no longer do.

So can anyone suggest a service, preferably with an internet presence, that can do a proper appraisal?

I have an opportunity to ship it out today, so the quicker I can get the info and make the contact the better.

    Thanks,

Blue Book of gun values 33rd edition (2012) lists it at: $800 for 60%, 1100 for 70%, 1200 for 80%, 1500 for 90%, 1800 for 95%, 2200 for 98%. Add 20% for original shipping carton. ~369K were manufactured from 1943-1945 within 6 blocks of serial numbers.

These values are very close to what it show a Remington Rand I have is valued at.
