I just started my dros today on a pistol and wanna get a rifle that's gonna go on sale in a few days at the same store, can I add it later or is it a different dros for rifles?

Different DROS unless you shop says otherwise. Ask them.
www.tenpercentfirearms.com was open from 2005 until 2018. I now own Westside Arms.

This happened to me yesterday. Went to pick up a pistol after my 10 day and ask if I could add a shotgun. My LGS said no, I would need a new dros. My buddy bought an XDm from an advertiser here and they added a shotgun to his dros when he went to get the pistol, taking the shotgun home with the pistol. I guess it depends on the shop and what they are comfortable doing. My shop also told me that if you get an off roster pistol through SSE it is a felony to convert it back.

Yes. There are arguments it is legal and arguments that is is not. Search for it if you want to be exhausted.

Your shop is spreading FUD and I would consider finding a new shop.

I searched a little but I really don't care either way so I didn't put too much into it.

I like the shop (small mom and pop with a good selection) and it's close to me. If I want an off roster gun there are plenty of vendors here doing it that are semi close to me.[/QUOTE]
