Info for shipping a handgun to N. CA.

    Hello,

I have read up a bit on the topic but still unsure of what kind of fees are involved. I plan to ship a handgun from southern CA to northern CA. I expect to pay $25-35 to my FFL to do the shipping for me. Does that sound about right? The other question is what kind of fees is the receiving party looking at? I think it varies from Dealer to Dealer, but a ball park figure. Would there be sales TAX involved? I am guessing the buyer would pay his FFL around $75 including DROS to receive the pistol. Does this sound somewhat correct?

    thanks for any help provided

I Have had 2 guns shipped to me to my FFL and they have cost me around 100 or so and yes tax will be added to the price of the gun.

You don't need to go to an FFL to send it to another FFL. Ship the gun to the buyers FFL with your photo ID/DL with correct information and contact number. Use UPS.

Or the law has changed again?
