FFL for interstate interfamily off roster handgun transfer

Hi, this is my first time posting
First off thank you for any help
My daughter who lives in Missouri wants to send me a off roster handgun for my 50th birthday present
Can anyone recommend a FFL dealer that I could use
I am in the San Diego area but willing to go as far as L.A if needed
    Thank you James

Just a few miles north of the LA County line is EBR Works. He should be able to help you if you're having trouble finding a more local FFL who understands the law and what you're doing.

I just completed 2 interstate transfers and I found the FFL I used through Buds Gun Shop preferred FFL list. See link below. I know that EBR came up for me as well but I was able to find one closer to home. I'd recommend calling all of them to compare prices and feel them out.

Find FFLs near you with our FFL locator. Buds preferred dealers are listed in green and have agreed to accept all incoming ATF approved transfers of firearms purchased on BudsGunShop.com

One other thing - not all FFLs know that an inter familial transfer of a handgun is NOT subject to the CA safe list. A couple of the FFLs that I talked to called the DOJ to confirm what I was telling them is correct. All of them that actually do interstate transfers (all but one I called) got back to me and verified that they would do the transaction. One of my transactions was an inter familial off list handgun and the other was a interstate long gun transfer.
