    03 FFL at 18?

I am interested in getting an C&R FFL Type 3 but I heard that California has passed a law that does not allow FFL holders to by any firearms out of state? Also how old does one have to be in order to apply for a FFL type 3? I like WW2 guns and the sks's and figure that I will able to start my collection cheaper than paying California prices.

federal law requires you to be 21 to have an FFL of any type.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

No such law was passed. There was a California law passed that says C&R FFLs will need to also have a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) for many types of C&R transactions that don't currently require a COE. That requirement doesn't start until 2014.

You can use the next few years to save for when you do get it. You'll thank yourself later.
