Question for an FFL about a Purchase

Friend of mine asked me a question about a pistol he bought 10+ yrs. ago.

It was a FTF cash deal that didn't include a FFL. He wants to transfer this

pistol into his name. What hoops will he have to jump thru to do this?

If you re-read the title it's a duel purpose form. All he's doing is stating he has the gun, and pays the government their $19 to shuffle the papers. No harm, no foul.

Also, theoretically, statute of limitations long gone, if there were a crime in the first place.

actually, the volreg form fits his situation better, not the oplaw form.
