    Ordering a rifle?

I ordered a Mossber 464 SPX (the tactical lever action) and i have been waiting 3 months for it to come in to the shop i ordered it from. I checked with Mossberg and it was released for sale in Jan of this year. My question is how long does it usually take to get a gun into your shops after you have ordered it? I have already paid for this rifle and would like to be able to take it home in the near future. I have no issues with DROS i havent even been able to start the paperwork yet. any advise?

    It depends.

How was it ordered and where was it ordered from? In some cases it can take a long time, especially if it is in demand. It might also be the case that the FFL is waiting for it to come in to the distributor. I checked with some of the distributors that I use and none of them have them in stock.

Have you talked to the FFL to see what the status is and how exactly they ordered it?

I am active duty and ordered it from the FFL at the store on base. They ordered it from the distributor and is being told that we have to wait for it to come in to them. Mossberg is claiming that it has been shipped to ditributors but as it is a new release i expected a little waiting period. But being three months i am getting a little nervous. I am on orders to transfer to another duty station in July and would like to have the rifle before i leave. I have already paid and i dont know if the no return/refund policy applies to non completed purchases.

I would talk to the FFL. If they can't deliver what you ordered, any no-refund policies would not apply. They can't just keep your money, but it can get into a gray area since what is a reasonable time for them to delivered it.
