    LEO 30-day 1-gun exemption

I am an LEO. Yesterday I tried to do a multiple DROS. One gun was an off-roster (?) Glock 19 Gen 3, the new Flat Dark Earth color frame. The other gun was an on-roster Beretta 92F with night sights, but with 15-round mags.

My FFL entered X31 for exemption, but CA DOJ kicked it back when he tried to add the second gun, the Beretta, saying essentially that there is no exemption from the one-gun-every-30-days for LEO's when the gun or guns are off roster.

My question is, why did it get kicked back when only one gun was off-roster, and the other was on-roster. Was it because the 92F had 15-round mags?

    Thanks!!

Probably because on the first DROS he did not enter a 30 day muliple purch. exemption in the opening screen on the DROS

The X31 is for the HSC, which has nothing to do with the LEO exemption.

Did the FFL submit both as a "Peace Officer" from the main screen?

He called DOJ and got a tiny box checked that he overlooked. Thanks.
