Thinking of getting an FFL.. Is it worth it?

I'm considering getting an FFL so I can purchase stuff at wholesale for myself, plus also possibly make some extra money doing some sales...

I know the fees for the ATF, etc.. but, it SEEMS like the DoJ requires me to purchase a COMPUTER too? Can I just use my existing computer? Any other strange gotcha's about getting an FFL and actually selling guns in California?

Yes. Obtaining the 01 FFL isn't the difficult part. Getting a business license for purchasing/selling firearms in your community may be challenging, not to mention everything else. Getting an FFL is a moot point if you don't have a business license.

I'm in county, so no city license required

So, apart from that... What else is *hard* to do and/or expensive? Do you need to actually buy a special computer to do dros? Or, did I just misread that?
