Is this Mag lock legal?

I was just told by an FFL that this Mag lock is not legal because it can be bent by hand. I'm sure there is some circus performer who rips phone books with his hands that could bend it. I gave it a tug and nothing happened.

I just want to CMA and not get in trouble. what do you guys think?

The people that made that design originally Solar Tactical, now have a new version that is reinforced.

Neither are designated "legal" or not. Nor will you find any magazine lock that is DOJ approved...

Plenty of people on here still have the original design locks...

As legal as legal goes with mag locks... None are "approved" but these are what I have on my AK style rifles...

It's legal. Sure, it can be altered to make it illegal but, it's legal until it's bent or otherwise altered.

A semi auto AR is legal even though it can be made into an illegal FA gun by simply putting a paper clip in it. So, by your FFL's logic, all ARs in the entire country should be illegal.

I have the same set up on mine. It performes as its supposed to. You need a tool to release the mag, so yeah its legal. DOJ didn't mention anything about quality or hardness of material.

I bought one of them from amazon and you would bend the trigger guard before you bent the mag lock, and be a gorilla or superman I bet superman could bend it
