Shipping disassembled saiga

I imagine this has already been talked about. Google fu is normally strong but I am coming up short. I am going to try to find a saiga .410 located in CA. But if I come up short. Can I purchase one out of state, without a bullet button, and have them disassemble it before shipping to a local FFL? Then I would just install the button and assemble it back together. I know some out state companies have CA compliant ones, but those are normally pricey. Nothing is easy in CA, so I have a feeling this isn't going to fly.
