Interstate Intranfamilial Transfer, my FFL needs a little help!

My local FFl is trying to figure out how to accomplish the Interstate Intrafamilial Transfers.
I sent him this link http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...18&postcount=3
Which has a lot of info on it BUT Item STEP#3 is a problem. The drop down window he sees on the software doesn't allow any free texting of the "PC...Roster Exempt" info. Any help you can give me to pass on to him would be appreciated. He's all for legally getting things done and wants this info for future use. Especially cuz my kid lives in NV and can gift me a few items. I want it all legal as I don't want her impacted by doing something incorrectly.

    Thanks, Bob B.

You linked the short link so it is broken. Repost the correct link.

Without the link, I am not quite sure what you are saying is a problem.

He just runs you as an exempt handgun and keeps a letter from your kid stating that he is gifting the firearm to you. That is it.

He means this one - http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...18&postcount=3

      Aghauler's FFL looks at this
      3. You DROS the HK45 at your CA FFL when it arrives. Your FFL's DROS
computer screen will have a Roster area
and in it he will fill it out
something like "12078PC intrafamily transfer - exempt from Roster".
and doesn't know how to accomplish it.

I think it would be useful to have a click-by-click narration of how to get to that spot where entering the exemption happens.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

This comment field is only twelve characters long but the comment field on the Purchaser page is usually used for the FSD information; so, keep it short. I've used "SB15 Exempt" before and all went OK.

Now I get it. I don't think I have ever done anything in regards to such transfers. He must be talking about the comments section. I just run them and then attach the paperwork to the DROS. If the DOJ wonders what is going on, they can call or swing by for a visit.

            Librarian,
Thanks for fixing things! Tenpercent, Thanks for the visual aids, I'll forward them to my local FFL. Back in the day I was an 01 FFL we didn't have "software issues" so I've never seen what is being refered to in this thread. Therefore I'm of little help to him. Thanks again! BB
