Does any extra paper work need to be filled out when an person from out of state ships a longgun to a CA ffl thats not in the second hand system? Got the DL copy and drosing the customer.

Seabug32, if the longgun is coming from an individual, not a dealer, then no cflc # or paperwork required. DicksigpicDick Criswell -
FDAS (Firearms Dealer Acquisition System) is used by dealers who purchase or otherwise aquire for their inventory used firearms. They are required to submit the data online and wait thirty days before disposing of it.
In this case, it was purchased by the transferee, so no FDAS is required if I understand the system correctly. Consignments (i.e., non-PPT), however, would be subject to FDAS.
