    Re Printing old DROS

Is there any way to print the DROS's if it has been after 60 days? When I had my DOJ inspection, the agent did it, but I dont recall how?

Not that I am aware of. Also be very aware that long gun DROSes drop off around 15 days or less. We thought we lost a guy's paperwork in the shop somewhere once and since it was a long gun, I couldn't see it in the review. It was blank! I was going to have no choice but to re-start him and make him wait 10 days again when I found it by a miracle.

Handguns you are still good to go, but long guns, get that crap printed out and don't lose it!

You can manually enter a DROS number for review, but after some period of time there is no information there.

If you give a copy of the DROS to the person, then you will have a second backup copy off-site.

Not a bad idea, but probably not worth it for the one time I lost paperwork but then found it.

Yes, but it is a nice receipt and the buyer can keep it for their records, plus if they ask, you have to give a copy to them.

For the volume I am doing, I am much better off just giving them the sales order copy with the date their DROS is up as it is much better evidence of a financial receipt than DROS. I have no issues giving them a copy on request, but giving everyone a copy would start adding up in time, toner, and paper cost.
