Dealers Beware! tis the season for criminal element.

On December 2, sometime before closing. A man of unknown age went into
Just Guns in Sacramento and walked into the restroom and crawled up into the ceiling. Shop employees had no idea this would be criminal was hiding in the store at closing time. Store employees locked up for the night and left the store. However as this scum bag came down from the ceiling he set off the alarm. Not able to get out of the store, do to great security measures this scum bag had to wait it out for the Sheriffs dept. I was listening to sheriff radio traffic on my way home that evening it was quit amusing, made me turn around to check out my store.
    Happy selling

We would get the same result in our store too. Once you are locked in, you can't get out. I designed it that way.

Well I hope they don't get fined for having a building that you can't get out of after hours. I come across it all the time with the FD telling customers to remove door bars and install panic hardware to let people out.

This is CA. Do you really have to ask that?

In case you do, yes. You can get sued for ANYTHING here. Just because some moron happened to be committing a crime against you means nothing in civil court. Biggest thing to remember in civil court is that they put life above property in pretty much every case I can think of. Doesn't mean I agree.

The scary part isn't that they can and probably will sue, but they will very likely win.

Yep! I have heard of a few cases where the owner was fined for a code violation after the suspect was injured in a crime.

-Voting is like falling off your bike. Sidewalk or street. Both are painful to fall on. But, the sidewalk (Mitt) is closer to the green grass.
