    Derringer question

I'm in the market for a new handgun and I'm thinking about a derringer is there any way of getting it although it is off roster it's a "American derringer m4 Alaskan 45-70" it is single action would that be exempt or its only exempt for revolvers and single shots any info would help thanks in advance. Yes it is basically a toy gun but that's what I'm in the market for

Since it's not on the approved list, it can only be transfered by a CA FFL dealer via LEO sale, PPT, out-of-state intra-familial gift or as a dimensionally compliant single-shot pistol.

In order for it to meet the single-shot pistol exemption, it would need a 6" or greater barrel and a 10.5" or greater overall length. [PC 12133(b)]
