    07 FFL Liability

I know this has been hashed out before, but I could not find some good numbers.

I am looking for some real world numbers on what 07 FFL Liability Insurance runs per year in SoCal for a part time store front.

2k? 10k? I have contacted GunInsurance.com but have not hear back from them. Would any be able to provide me with some quick answers?

It will depend on total coverage, amount of inventory, and what you plan to mfg and sell. The low end is ~1k / year. The high end I don't know.

I see, thanks for the info! That provides somewhat of a relief. My local agent told me I would not be able to afford it.

Do you 07s carry just Liability? Are there specific types of insurance for retailing vs. Gunsmithing (or manufacturing with custom builds)? I am trying to prepare myself for Monday but my google-fu seems unusually weak.

I would appreciate any and all info.

I just have liability because I did not end up using my 07 for what I was expecting (re-loading, etc...). I basically have the same type of coverage an 01 probably would.

I had to have my broker go out of state to finf someone in Arizona who would insure me. I had to pay 6 months up front, and just finsihed off my last payment for the "year". It ended up being nearly 3300 for the year. 1 million per incident, ie: slip and fall etc, listed like 60-80 k in inventory as an estimate. I was a new venture, never owned a business before and had the 07, so they got me pretty good. I expect it to go down once I'm not "new" anymore and if I have no claims.

Damn Mike! Is this because of location and the amount of inventory that you stock?

Could I get some references for good insurance companies to do this through?
