    Dana has Retired?

Tried to call him today and got a message that he no longer works there. Too bad he seemed like a reasonable guy.

Haven't met Shipman. I wonder what the new agents will be like.

My one interaction with Dana was my first DOJ review. He spent about three hours looking over my DROS paperwork and stuff and left. He gave me a NO VIOLATIONS report on my audit, so I was happy.

We did get into it a bit over "capacity to accept a detachable magazine" regarding black rifles but I didn't push the issue. Seems like he was looking for ways to ban EBRs yet again. That was my only interface with him. Not the greatest, probably not the worst either.

Dana showed up at my place a month after I received my FFL in 2008. Cited me for a couple minor things and let me phone in my compliance. I called him several times back then with questions and he was such a help. As a state employee myself, I fear his replacement.

I think he knew more than most, but still wasn't going to stick his neck out. I am sure every time I spoke to him (years ago) he used the term "grey area". Dude, I knew that.
