Update on this. I was actually reading this while in Chase waiting for my banker.

I read him these comments, and asked that he get Paymentech on the phone and we could clarify these concerns. Since I was about to sign up to Payment with Chase, this was great timing.

I spoke with a Larry at Pay. He stated firearms and ammunition are rated as a low/moderate risk and they have zero concerns regarding the transaction of. I specifically asked him about online sales. He said there was no difference whether it was online or in store, they did not care.

Just an FYI, that is what I was told by Paymentech, sitting in Chase at the time.

      Authorize.net through FNMS

EDIT: Looks like the terms of service for authorize.net states Firearms prohibited. I guess I'm lucky I haven't been nailed yet. Perhaps because I'm using the service through First National Merchant Services. Not sure..
I reached out to FNMS and got this reply:

      Jon,

I had a question about our account. I was recently reading the terms of service for authorize.net and it states:

      LAWFUL USE.

You agree that You will not at any time conduct Your business in any manner that directly or indirectly offers, sells, leases, licenses or displays, delivers, advertises, recommends, or promotes any product(s), service(s), data, information, image(s), text and/or any content which:
      ...

is associated with the sale of firearms.

Is this a problem for us since that is our business? I don't think this was true when I signed up, but it appears this might be an issue now? Or were we grandfathered in?

dang, I'm going to have to look into that. I'm not paying any fees right now except the std credit card fees of 2-3%.

Hmm. New account, first post, and your registration email address is the same as the company you are "asking" people about. Goodbye.

I know this thread's a little older, but I wanted to let any followers know that I represent a processor that's a member of the NRA and NASGW.
