    FFL in San Diego County

Can anyone give me some direction. I have been doing some research on obtaining my FFL however, San diego County states that I do not need a business license in rural San Diego County?? Would my next step be to apply with ATF? any help or direction would be much appreciated....

You need to get something in writing from the county stating they do not require a license valid for the retail sale of firearms in the area you are looking to list as your business address.

From my understanding when I looked into it, rural San Diego falls under SD Sheriff rules. The county would not sign off unless the Sheriff office gave their blessing. If you are zoned residential the Sheriff will deny the permit. Iheard there are ways to fight it but have not found anything yet.

Thanks for your help, I do fall under SDSO. I thought I might need a letter from the Sheriff as well.
