As required by the Bureau of Firearms, I mailed in my application last week for placement on the Centralized List of Firearms Dealers. I completed the application form that the BOF had mailed to me last month along with my COE. In the application packet I sent copies of my FFL, COE, seller's permit and local business license (for retail sale of firearms). I mailed this packet off to the BOF address listed on the application.
I was surprised to see a "return to sender" and my packet sent back to me by the USPS. Apparently the BOF moved and has a new address. Of course the USPS didn't forward to their "new" address, because the BOF moved in 2008. I can't believe the BOF sent me a 3/2007 revision form last month with an address that hasn't been valid since 2008! Shame on me for not looking online at the BOF website for the 7/2008 revision form with their "new" address. What other tricks does the BOF throw at dealers?
