    Handgun repaired, returned to FFL

    Hello,

I searched and couldn't find an answer. I sent a pistol directly to the manufacture for service. The manufacture repaired the pistol and returned it to a local shop (FFL). The serial number has not changed. The pistol is registered to me. Do I have to reDROS it (pay CA fees) and wait the 10-days? If I do not have to reDROS, can you point me to DOJ text or PC section?

    Thanks!

This isn't exactly the same cuz you sent to manufacturer and then they sent to FFL, but:

If the FFL were to ship it, then it would not need to be re-DROS'd, but that did not happen. If it was the same FFL, it might be possible for it to be returned with a DROS, but the FFL should confirm that with the CA DOJ. It is an unusual case since it should have been returned directly to you.

Thanks for the replies! Lesson learned, the state got me twice on this one.
