Regular DROS and PPT DROS simultaneously?

    Hi, all -

Question for you... I understand that a PPT is exempt from the 1-gun-every-30 waiting period, but if I already have one (dealer sale) DROS in process, is it permissible to start the PPT DROS during the same 10-day period?

(This seems basic, I know, but I couldn't find anything that clearly answered this in my searches of CA DOJ and this forum.)

Thank you, I really appreciate your information,

    Christina

PPT as many as you want. Just remember to fill out the Report of Multiple Sale if they are within 5 days of each other. http://www.atf.gov/forms/download/atf-f-3310-4.pdf

The report of multiple sale is the responsibility of the FFL, which I suspect the OP is not.

True, I am not the FFL... But I am buying a gun today (PPT) through the other party's FFL, then starting a second DROS (new gun, from a dealer, not PPT) with my FFL. So I imagine I'll need to tell my FFL (when I start the second DROS) about the existing DROS for the PPT transaction?

Thank you all so much for sharing your knowledge so generously.

The reporting requirement is only for the individual FFL, so there is no reporting requirement for purchases from multiple FFLs.

Would the report need to be filed by the FFL if the buyer of both pistols was a 01 FFL but not yet with CFD?

the feds don't care about a CFD.

the instructions say that the licensee has to fill it out when transfering to a non-licensee. An 01FFL without a CFG is still a licensee in ATF's eye, AFAIK.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?
