    LEO only pistol

So I was in a gun store today and was looking at a pistol. The guy said that the gun was LEO only. So my question is if I find a LEO that has this gun and wants to sell it can anyone now buy it? Thanks guys

Mainly, a lot of the times when gun store guys say LEO only it means it's off list and not legal to be shipped by the distributor for sell in CA to civilians.

      Correct me if i'm wrong.

Yeah I got that part. But I thought I read somewhere that once a LEO owns it then if you can find a LEO that will sell a used one then its ok. But Im not 100% sure.
Its a FNH 5.7x28 in dark earth. I just sold the black one and didnt think the color would be a problem. Wouldnt you know that the only difference is the color. The black is ok and the dark earth color isnt, lol THIS STATE!

If a LEO or anyone else owns this gun legally they can sell it to you PPT. Perfectly legal, you just cant buy a off roster gun new.

The problem with krylon painted guns is that if you actually shoot your guns they will look like dodo after about 500 rounds.

If you know a LEO, he/she can buy it and hold it for 30 days than PPT to you.

Perfectly legal for the distributors to ship into CA. Illegal for the CA FFL to sell to non-exempt CA persons though.

When I asked an LEO buddy of mine to purchase a "variant" of a same pistol that is on the list, he told me that some people might view it as a straw purchase... if the "INTENT" was strictly to purchase for another person.

I guess it depends on how close a friend it is, but the LIST does not apply to USED guns.

Was it a new gun? If it was a consignment you should be able to PPT it.
I have never seen a case in a store that says LEO only with only new guns in it. What is wierd is that I have seen one store with a LEO only case, but they are all used guns. They must have been taken in trade and are not going to sell PPT.
                    Was this at Targetmasters?
