    Single Shot Exempt Market Research

I need some market research on what single shot exempt barrels to offer. Here are the most popular I can think of.

Glock 9mm (works in .40 too) - for all Gen 4s and even like the Model 24s
    LCP
    Diamondback DB380 & DB9
    1911
    Springfield Armory XDM
Springfield Armory 9mm (works in .40 too?) - for bi-tones and other non-rosters
    Kel-Tec 9mms and .380s

What else do you think you could sell well if I managed to get a decent barrel produced and you would like to see some SSE guns for sale on your shelves?

    Sig P238

    Possibly Ruger SR1911 and/or S&W M&P22

    Maybe FN FNX 9/40

EDIT: I'm not an FFL. Just throwing ideas out for you.

How about for a Sig P229 so that various Elite versions can be sold, as well as the P226?

I do believe all of the 1911 styles you are suggesting should work with any standard longer 1911 barrel right?

Okay, I never thought of Sigs. Do their barrels interchange between models and calibers at all?

Like a Glock 17,19,22,23,24,34,35 barrel should swap out all the same so one 6" barrel should take care of them all.

Some do and some don't. There is the .22LR conversion which shows that there are different widths of the frame rails. I think that most of the P229 can accept a different barrel and they look the same, so it is unknown as to whether you can't use different barrels due to the length.

I'm in the market for a beretta u22 neos. They fell off roster, and there's no SSE for it that i'm aware of. Thanks.

Oh, and the Hk45. I know a few others have them, but a little competition never hurt anyone.

The models with longer barrels might be dimensionally compliant as it is, you just need to find a sled (which you can make by blocking a mag).

To the OP, you pretty much named all the stuff I wanted, other than some rare guns that SSE wouldn't be feasible for (South African and early Croatian oddball handguns). The only thing I'd add is Ruger LCP (everybody seem to want them) and EAA Witnesses. I'd imagine quite a few people would want the match Witnesses. Well, I do.

                        It's a shame you're far from L.A. County.

Just a few questions I've always wondered about on the subject of SSE barrels.

Are you planning to make the SSE barrels functional? Can they be fired without injury to self or firearm? If an individual buys one and sends it out of state for a SSE conversion, will the in-state dealer be comfortable assuming liability for the transfer?

Has anyone ever tried firing a SSE barrel from VA, Tablerock or any other supplier?

It's usually a mag that's blocked to not accept any rounds. As such, when inserted it only allows you to load a single round (in the chamber), thus making your gun a single-shot gun.
