    280 @ 20mpg = 14 gallons * $4 = $56 for gas plus $30 for two lunches.... you're at about $86 plus the $35.

    Cheaper to just pay the $75 unless you have other business in the bathroom

      How can we figure out how to charge $75 every time we need to explain to people why it costs $75 for an FFL transfer?

      As a senior member, I would think Tripper would have figured it out by now.

                  Kitchen table FFL is always going to be the cheapest, usually $10, though not always the most convenient... must work by appointment, must work around his "day job" schedule if he's not retired, etc...

                  But ya, even at a significant savings over a local FFL, what you'll burn in gas and time really makes it uneconomical to travel more than 50 miles round-trip (twice) to save only $60.
