    Old revolver and dros

    Good Day Calguns,

I am looking at buying a Lefaucheaux 1854 pin fire revolver,
these were made between 1854 and 1866. It is the stores gun.
The store wants an hsc card and to do only a 4473.
No dros or waiting period though. Does this sound correct?
What would you, as an FFL do as far as paper work?

    Thank You for any information

It's an antique, so in reality, no paperwork is required...nothing...except a receipt of course.

Anything they want you to do is simply for their peace of mind. If you want it, give them what they ask for.

Since it is a 1854, it is not considered a firearm as far as I know. You would not need a HSC if they are not submitting a DROS and I don't think that a 4473 would be required at all. You should confirm that with the BATF.
