    Saiga 12 question????

What is needed to import non compliant (no bullet button) Saiga 12 into Ca?

What ffl or state permit does a Ca firearms dealer need to make the Saiga 12 Ca compliant?

    Example:
Walked into a shop to buy a Saiga 12 and they said they had some in the back that they would need to put a mag lock on before we do the paper work. So it obviously entered the state non compliant.

Is this legal? I just dont want to get in trouble with my new rifle.

    thanks

A CA FFL dealer with an assault weapons permit can legally import/recieve non-CA legal Saiga-12s and modify them to be CA legal.

Is this a Saiga 12 or a rifle, they are different and not covered under the same laws.

They would not get in trouble for putting a bullet button on it, but they would get in trouble for receiving a firearm that is considered an so-called a-salt weapon without having the proper permit.
