    AR15 Upper Question

I have an AR15 lower and am ready for an upper. I see an upper that I can afford but it has a bayonet lug. Is it legal to have an upper with bayonet lug in California? Out of state dealer says yes, but would rather check with a local FFL. Also would rather buy from a local FFL but I'm on a tight budget of under $450. Thanks

It is legal, look over the flowchart at the top of the page.
Post your location and an FFL close to you may be able to set you up on a budget upper.

Bayonet lug has never been an 'evil feature' in CA; that was the 1994-2004 Federal law.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

I'm just north of Sacramento in Roseville. Looking for a budget 16" or 14.5" pinned upper.

It is legal in california. And it can be shipped directly to you. NO FFL needed. The question is, is your lower LEGALLY configurated for caligornia(i.e. Bullet button). If it is, you can put anything on it. Including all the "evil" features.
