    Sellers concern over PPT *update

I'm buying a OR beretta from a gentleman on the marketplace , he submitted a IF transfer several weeks ago, it hasn't "cleared" yet, this issue I believe has been settled, he satisfied PC by submitting the form. This is his concern: When we do the PPT FTF is he responsible for the gun in any way whatsoever after he signs off on it if the IF transfer has not been completed?....*Talked to DOJ yesterday and they said if the IF transfer hasn't "gone thru", in other words been completely processed thru their system, that the transaction will kick back, not what I wanted to hear but this is the horses mouth I guess, also there is only one person working on entering IF transfers and they are backed up. gotta love CA, I have it worked out I think, just waiting to hear from seller. I can't help but wonder if DOJ even knows what they are talking about, in any case thanks for the help guys.

I didn't buy fireworks on the 4th of July, if I want fireworks I'll call my ex-wife.

You could have asked this question in your other thread. You really are posting a lot when you can be editing posts and consolidating threads.

If you get denied, he gets the gun back. If you let your 30 days expired, he might have to come back in.

He didn't even need to fill out the IF as far as the DOJ is concerned. I don't think they even care about the seller until you get denied.
www.tenpercentfirearms.com was open from 2005 until 2018. I now own Westside Arms.

Thanks Ten, and my apologies for the unnecessary thread proliferation, this was a very specific concern of the seller and I wanted to make sure he sees it, also I'm still getting the hang of this myself, thanks again.BTW , 30 days expired? If its FTF PPT it's exempt rite?

He's talking about the DROS expiring after 30 days, not the 1 per 30 day handgun thing. If you start a DROS it is only good for 30 days. So after the 10 day waiting period you only have 20 days left to pick up a firearm from a dealer. If you wait longer than that then you need to start over, which means the seller would have to come back and do another PPT with you.
